The best is to get the Morphic papers of the Self group, at

The last one (1994) dedicated to Self 4.0 is the most interesting for understanding Morphic in Squeak, but the other ones are also interesting.
Also of interest are the tutorials on Self, and the manual of Morphic by John Maloney, at the same place (http://self.smli.com)
And if you can run Self, do it :-)
