Abstract:

We will present an overview of technology for the Deaf being developed at Georgia Tech's GVU Center. Our research combines machine learning, automatic sign language recognition, human computer interaction, educational technology, and linguistics to provide language learning tools for deaf children. We will discuss and demonstrate the language learning game, CopyCat, as well as other related projects.
